Kristin Mihneva - Designer

About

Hi, welcome to my page!

I am Kristin, 27, artist & designer, living in London, originally from Bulgaria. Having the  ambitions to create compelling works of art and design has inspired me to leave my comfort zone and move to England when I was 18 to follow my dreams.

My journey began with a deep love for storytelling through design. Whether it's curating a living room that feels like home or orchestrating an event that leaves a lasting impression, I’ve always been driven by the desire to create environments that resonate with the people who experience them. With a background in both interior design and event planning, I bring a unique perspective to every project, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality.

My passion for interior and event design is rooted in a fundamental belief: the environments we inhabit and the events we experience profoundly shape our lives and memories.

'Over the last 15 years Invisible Blue has gained a reputation for creating event interiors for tailor made events; providing set, lighting and AV services for both corporate and private clients at home and abroad.During this time Invisible Blue’s designers, producers and technical teams have created over 7000 events in the UK and internationally ranging from full-scale event production to technical installations.' Being a creative visualiser for this amazing company  was a challenge and hard work.

I learned the basics of creative rendering here & the company's given me the amazing opportunity to create designs for private and high-end clients. My time was mostly spend on creating production visuals to win the clients over other companies. In that case, I also improved my ability to focus on small details and create outstanding presentations.

Chalk Architecture - Architectural  Assistant Internship

07/07/18-03/10/18

'Free-hand drawing is the basis of all the creative work, and they start by capturing the essence of a big idea in a beautifully simple sketch. If they’re developing a project for a hotel, restaurant or retail business, they’re interested in everything which makes that business different and  fascinated by the process of designing a brand, where every aspect – from the font on the letterhead to the material of a façade – reflects the look and feel of the business. This is what they mean when they talk about ‘Brand Architecture’.

This was my very first job as a designer. It was a great challenge as I was fitting into the company with my creative drawing skills, but still learning the basis of Sketch Up and Vectorworks. This job helped me a lot in creating renderings, establishing a style and mostly: technical planning and reading technical drawings. Going on site, measuring and learning in a fast-paced environment was absolutely exciting for the beginning of my career!
