Interior Design:

For me, interior design is a journey of discovery, creativity, and connection.

Collaboration is key throughout the process. I believe in working closely , presenting concepts, gathering feedback, and making adjustments until the design truly feels like yours. Over the years, I’ve encountered various interior design challenges that required creative problem-solving and adaptability. Here are a few examples of how I overcame them:

1. Small Space, Big Dreams:

Challenge: A client requiring a stylish living space that could accommodate both a home office and a guest area without feeling cramped.

Solution: I maximized vertical space by incorporating custom-built shelving and multifunctional furniture, such as a sofa bed with hidden storage and a fold-out desk. To maintain an open and airy feel, I used light colors, mirrors, and strategically placed lighting to create the illusion of more space. The result was a comfortable, multi-purpose room that felt much larger than its actual square footage.

2.Awkward Layout:

Challenge: A client’s home had an unusual, L-shaped living and dining area with odd angles and a lack of natural flow, making it difficult to furnish and use effectively.

Solution: I redefined the space by creating distinct zones within the open area. I used rugs, furniture placement, and subtle color changes to delineate the living and dining spaces, while maintaining a cohesive look. Custom furniture was designed to fit the space perfectly, such as a corner sofa that made the most of the L-shape and a round dining table that balanced the angular layout. This approach turned a challenging layout into a functional and harmonious living space.

3.Poor Natural Lighting:

Challenge: A client’s home had limited natural light, resulting in a dark and uninviting living space.

Solution: To brighten the space, I used a combination of reflective surfaces, light-colored walls, and strategically placed artificial lighting. Mirrors were positioned to bounce light around the room, and a layered lighting scheme—including ambient, task, and accent lighting—was implemented to ensure the space felt warm and well-lit at all times of the day. The room was transformed from dim and dreary to bright and welcoming.

These challenges not only tested my design skills but also pushed me to think outside the box and find innovative solutions. Overcoming these obstacles is what makes the design process so rewarding, turning potential roadblocks into opportunities for creativity and excellence.
