Your art reflects you

“Style must be filled with substance and authenticity” - from the quote above, as I said before - there is not a way to create a style, you need to find it for yourself. Ask any famous artist - they do not know the answer. Style became integral part of their self-expression, because style reflects you. It is very personal. That is why it can be developed only through repetition- continue making your craft until you find it!

Your voice as an artist should reflect on your work. Your opinions and individuality also create your style. You are a unique human being! No one is like you. No one has the exact same feeling ,opinion or habits! When you understand your thoughts on a deeper level, your work will reflect you! That is why it is always good to have a great intention with your creative work. Ask yourself: What part of me wants to be seen in this work? What meaning I want to show? What can I do different.

Time

“The greatest gift you can give someone is your time, because when you give your time you are giving a portion of your life that you will never get back.”

For Creatives - 5 websites you should know

Happy Monday!

I wanted to start this week with something new - more writing, blogging, learning so I thought why not create a new morning ritual before starting the day!

I assume you already have your morning routine, whether its drinking your favourite coffee or 15 minutes of shower with your favourite music, well sometimes changing or adding up something new will make you feel more inspired. I am usually getting used to things so quickly so to start my day right, feed my creative energy and continue my day I make sure that every morning I read something inspiring.

Today I decided to share with you 5 pages, that I always visit when I need an inspiration boost. Apart from Pinterest, which I guess you all know, here is what I have found as hidden gems:

1. https://www.creativebloq.com

This page is full of art and design inspiration. Plus very useful advice on all particular sorts of design - it literally has everything from technology, art, architecture to best products to buy for your field. Also plenty of inspiration - tutorials, how-to lessons etc. So check this out!

2. https://www.stylebysavina.com

Fashion and lifestyle blogger - Savina is a Bulgarian influencer, living in London and I find her blog very personal. If you are looking for ideas on style, fashion or even just how to blog - that is the right place.

3.https://elements.envato.com

I have recently started learning in more detail After Effects - actually I very much enjoyed the you tube page of KriskoArt, so Envato is what he recommends.

This page requires a monthly subscribtion, but has the best templates ever - weather you are working on video, illustration etc - these are all royalty free images that you can use for your design - as a base. Makes life a lot easier, sometimes I even get more ideas by just looking at it!

4. https://www.designboom.com

Based in Milan, this magazine has shared all sorts of creative projects, interviews, and the best part: competitions. If you are wondering how to level up- take part in any of their design competitions - there is plenty, and you can also receive an award! Why not?

5. https://thedsgnblog.com/

The design blog - again has all types of design sections- from Photography to Branding, from Web to Graphic and Interior - Architecture. The owner of the blog is now a designer in  San Fransisco but through her blog, you can apply so many ideas to presenting your work, I generally love seeing other people’s work - it can add up to your own way of presenting and if you are creative you need to constantly search new ideas and learn from each other! Now with all these blogs, websites and tips -it is easier than ever!
