“Blackouttuesday” is not just a day when everyone posts a black square on Instagram. More than that, it shows the massive support of antiracism and how strong that issue is even in 21 century. On this note, I say it shows the importance of equality and that we can’t allow any more violence to happen. Black lives matter and they always will. I wanted to show that artist also support this through creative expression and artwork. The power of art today can be used not just to show personal interests and values but also to reflect the values of the world, to express the most important issues, to reflect the news of today and to fight for a better future.

What does a designer’s day look like? Beyond the finished images of a completeled design there is a whole day of preparation. Finding inspiration if you do your own art is always the starting point to creating a work that brings value. I love to draw inspiration from creative platforms: most often Pinterest but also anything that crosses your mind, is your favourite topic, singer or motivational speaker can bring art topics on. For example recently I shared that I have watched the documentary on McQueen and now I got the book. Seeing hand- drawings, fashion expression which totally related to art and stage design in Mcqueen’s example is what I really find inspiring. Sometimes it is a single quote or a narrative that moves you in the right direction. Art can be found in anything around our daily world. The way you start your day, your thinking, your personal expression these are all forms of art. I think the right way to express yourself is through finding what your form of art is. What part of your day can you turn into an art process. x
